Review:

Personally, I adored this book. It really tied together that dystopia and romantic feeling. Sometimes books dwell to much on one or the other but I think this had the perfect balance. I liked the different settings and descriptions and thoughts and feelings. I thought it had that realistic feel that was really needed to get this book up and running. You can tell Marie Lu but serious thought into this book series.

It is written in two POVs which I was ify about at first, but it really pulled through and presented the format.

Our main characters, Day and June, are absolutely spectacular. We have June, the republic prodigy with a tad bit of rebel in her. She has mixed feelings towards everything that comes her way and has such an internal conflict with her self that sometimes you get that "I FEEL CONFLICTED TOO" feeling along with her.

Day is the rebel of all rebels. Not Katniss, not Tris, but Day. He blows things up. He climbs walls. He jumbs off buildings.
We also ge to see him develop as a character. He learns that rebeling isn't the only thing that he can do. He could fight back. He could fight for what the US once was.

The love octagon in this book is just ugh. There's this person and this person and conlict here and conflict there and bad choice there and unexplainable choice here.

Overall, I thought it was a great book, although lacking sometimes in character choice, it had a great feel to it. I think this series will go far.

Goodreads Blurb: June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.

It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.

But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

In this highly-anticipated sequel, Lu delivers a breathtaking thriller with high stakes and cinematic action.

Review:

This book really revealed all that world politics and pre-apocalypyic stuff. We see how the world detiorated and why the government is the way it is, and where all the other countries are in the situation.
We are also introduced to knew minor characters that really affect the plot line. Anden, as mentioned above, is an exceptional character (personally he is my favorite in the book) that is a mystery until we really get to hear him speak. We knew his name, but we didn't know who he was.

I'd actually say he is extremely to Jullian in the Lauren Oliver's Delirium Series.

But definetly a character that I hope stays and affects June and Day more and more.

The ending of this book just cut perfectly for Champion, which will be released  November 5th, 2013, that will hopefully be the full-filling end to this magnificent Dystopian trilogy.

Goodreads Blurb: The explosive finale to Marie Lu’s New York Times bestselling LEGEND trilogy—perfect for fans of THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT!

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.
